Responsibilities, Knowledge & Skills

  • Interacts with existing customers primarily by phone to increase sales of an organization's products and/or services
  • Possesses a “hunter” mentality with the reengagement of existing, low performing accounts
  • Provides general support to customers over the phone
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
  • Solicit sales of new or additional services through call discussions
  • Sells new and/or additional product lines to the account through direct call interaction
  • Provides pricing and delivery information
  • Serves as liaison between the customer and various departments
  • Resolves customer requests, questions; frequently requiring analysis of situations to determine best use of resources
  • Apply Company sales programs and techniques to achieve sales plans
  • Ability to achieve monthly call and sales targets
  • Understands sales statistics to generate ideas and to expand services available to present customers
  • Collects/maintains accurate notes on assigned customers within CRM platform
  • Collects current information of competitive product and activity
  • Provides supportive customer service to all customers
  • Strong sales hunter mentality

  • Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions both in person and on the phone
  • from groups of managers, clients, and customers
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and product schematics
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where
  • only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to handle rejection
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Must possess strong computer skills


Education and Experience

  • Previous industry related experience a plus
  • B to B selling, previous related customer service 
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent GED required
  • Additional higher level education from a two or four-year university a plus, but not required
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, margins, and percentages
